Lady D expeditionary mega-yacht worth $ 5,500,000 burned out in Thailand on the island of Phuket.

Expeditionary Mega Yacht for announced price of $ 5,500,000, currently in Thailand, Phuket. On August 7, in the early morning, a 185-foot expeditionary mega yacht Lady D, was engulfed in fire at AOPO Grand Marina on the island of Phuket.

Phuket News reports that the team and captain  while accident were out of Thailand. At the moment, only one person was supporting the yacht.

 Arriving at the scene, firefighters found that the ship was parked at the farthest berth and was out of reach for fire engines.According to The Nation, the officers ordered to cut the ropes so that the fire did not spread to the boats standing nearby.

The Chief of Talang police informed that recently a yacht, returned from to the island of Langkawi in Malaysia. The fuel tanks of the yacht contain about 100 tons of diesel fuel.

The fire department was unable to control the fire and for general safety 55 meter vessel was towed out from AOPO Grand Marina, to the near by bay of small island- Koh Tanana. The fire is almost out, and yacht looks completely destroyed.

 At that moment no one was hurt. The fire also did not cause any harm to other yachts moored in the yacht parking.

 

The governor of Phuket, Phakaphong Tavipatana and the head of the Talang region, Adul Chuthong, on the territory of which there was a fire of the yacht, personally monitor the operations, and consider the incident very serious.

The police and firefighters must determine the cause of the fire of the yacht.
